Compensation:

Salaries are between $27.38 and $37.67 + production bonus up to $190/ week and a distance premium with an average of $17/day

(Salaries are based on $25.98 and $35.88 + 5% of the hours worked)

Responsibilities The work

The Sawmills Division is seeking a reliable and motivated Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) for the Veneer Sawmill - someone who brings a positive attitude and values teamwork.
Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and industrial machinery and equipment in a production workplace
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, assembly, and preventive maintenance on machines
Read and interpret technical plans to manufacture or modify equipment
Monitor daily maintenance activities and respond to emergencies as needed




Repair or replace components such as chains, belts, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and more
Use power tools for welding, cutting, and other mechanical tasks

Qualifications
Education required: Diploma in Industrial Mechanics (Block 1 or higher), with training support available to pursue Red Seal certification
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Welding certification is an asset. If you're interested in pursuing certification, the company will support training
Any interest in further training will be assessed and supported by the company as needed
Bilingualism is an asset, but not required
Must meet JDI selection criteria
