Become the FireSmart Coordinator for Lax̱g̱alts’ap Village Government, focusing on wildfire preparedness and community education. This essential role within the Lax̱g̱alts’ap Fire and Rescue Department requires robust community engagement and program management skills.

You will coordinate FireSmart initiatives, and budget management, and ensure effective public outreach to develop wildfire resilience in the community. Your work will greatly reduce wildfire hazards while promoting safety and preparedness. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the FireSmart Program
Lead community education events and outreach sessions




Organize wildfire resiliency projects with community participation
Coordinate FireSmart assessments for homes and businesses
Manage grants and funding for FireSmart programs Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of relevant leadership experience
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of FireSmart principles and community programs
Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
