Optical Assembly Technician (Evening)

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Optical Assembly Technician (Evening) in the electro-mechanical assembly industry in Ottawa, Ontario. Our client is hiring an Optical Assembly Technician with previous experience and working knowledge of a manufacturing setting. This individual will assist Engineers with set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

Responsibilities

- Repairs and maintains electro-mechanical PCB manufacturing equipment
- Installs and maintains new or more complex manufacturing equipment
- Identifies and troubleshoots malfunctioning manufacturing equipment
- Contributes to semi-routine analyses and documentation updates, relating to materials management, manufacturing, or test processes




- Participates in preventative maintenance according to detailed specifications and schedules

Requirements

- 1-2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred and considered an asset
- 2-year Technical Diploma is preferred and considered an asset
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be willing to conduct a background check
- High School Diploma, minimum

Total rewards

$20.00 - $21.00 hourly

Evening Shift from 4 pm - 12 am (Monday to Friday)

10% evening shift premium on top of base rate

3 - 8 weeks of training (Training takes place from 8 am - 4 pm)

Weekly pay including 4% vacation pay
