Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Technician to support the operations of a growing commercial real estate portfolio in Montréal. This in-office position is ideal for an accounting qualified who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with property management teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and tenant billing while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of property-level accounting.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Technician will oversee day-to-day accounting activities for a portfolio of commercial properties. The role involves processing transactions, maintaining financial records, preparing reconciliations, and supporting month-end reporting.



The successful candidate will work closely with property managers, tenants, and vendors to ensure productive financial operations and excellent service levels.

Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare tenant billings and monitor collections.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare financial reports and accounting schedules as required.
Respond to inquiries from vendors, tenants, and internal stakeholders.

Desired Candidate
Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Experience in commercial real estate property management is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Yardi preferred).
Bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
