Personal Injury Associate Lawyer

Location: Ottawa, ON

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

A well-established Ottawa law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Associate to join its team. This is an prospect for a lawyer looking to grow their practice in a supportive environment while working directly with clients on personal injury matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a caseload of personal injury files from intake through resolution.
- Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, and draft legal correspondence and documentation.
- Handle negotiations with opposing counsel, insurers, and other parties.
- Prepare for discoveries, mediations, pre-trial conferences, and trials as required.
- Advise clients on their legal rights, options, and the progress of their claims.




- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure files are managed efficiently.

Qualifications

- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Experience handling personal injury matters, ideally within a plaintiff-side practice.
- Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
