We are seeking a motivated and skilled 3rd to 5th Year Electrical Apprentice holding a valid 309A Electrical Apprenticeship Certification. This paid apprenticeship offers an exciting chance to develop your expertise in electrical systems within a dynamic construction environment. You will work closely with licensed electricians to gain hands-on experience, enhance your technical skills, and contribute to diverse electrical projects.
Duties
Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems according to project specifications and safety standards
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system layout
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks with precision
Support the setup and installation of industrial and commercial electrical components on construction sites.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical work to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks throughout each project phase
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or completed 3rd to 5th year of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program (309A certification required)
Proven commercial electrical experience is highly desirable
Solid knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprint reading, and low voltage wiring
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint interpretation
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
Must have a valid drivers license, insurance and vehicle as job/site locations are through-out the GTA. Driving distance should not be a concern.
Must be able to speak and write fluent English.
