Description: Accounting Analyst

Goodfood is looking for an energetic individual that, as a key member of the finance team, will be responsible for completing daily transactional and month-end accounting activities as well as assisting in the payroll process. This role reports to the Director of Accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the verification, processing and entry of supplier invoices;
Prepare EFT, cheque and other disbursements;
Prepare month-end journal entries, bank reconciliations, reconcile general ledger accounts and complete working papers;
Process regular and off-cycle payroll and assist in other payroll-related tasks;
Assist in the development of internal processes;
Prepare sales tax remittances;
Participate in the year-end financial statements audit and payroll process;




Produce a variety of ad-hoc reports and analyses.

REQUIREMENTS:
Passion for food;
Solid ability to work in a constantly changing environment;
Comfort in working in both supervised and unsupervised settings;
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
1 - 3 years experience in a similar role;
Proficiency in both english and french (oral and written);
Proficient with Microsoft office, Google docs, advanced Excel;
Solid belief in conducting business ethically;
Experience in payroll is an asset;
Experience in financial reporting is an asset;
Experience with cloud-based accounting software and ERP systems is an asset.
