Join Mission Services of Hamilton as a Program Support Worker for the Safe at Home Program. This full-time contract position focuses on direct service and support for individuals experiencing gender-based violence.

In this role, you will provide case management support, facilitate group programs, and conduct assessments to enhance the safety of women and their dependants. You will collaborate closely with local police and lead recruitment efforts for referral partners, utilizing your understanding of gender-based violence, mental health, and community needs to improve outcomes for program participants.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate direct case management and safety planning for clients
• Facilitate group and one-on-one programming based on psycho-educational curriculum




• Conduct safety audits in collaboration with Hamilton Police Services
• Lead community training efforts to boost referrals
• Provide resource information and referrals to service users

Requirements:
• Minimum degree in Social Work/Social Service Work
• Three years’ experience in related social services
• Knowledge of gender-based violence and mental health
• Strong interpersonal and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make confident decisions
