Truss/EWP Design Manager (MiTek)

Overview

Our client is looking for a Truss/EWP Design Manager with strong MiTek experience to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role focuses on designing productive, code-compliant roof truss and floor systems for residential, multi-family, and light commercial projects. You’ll work closely with sales, production, and customers to deliver accurate designs that move seamlessly from concept to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Design roof truss systems using MiTek software (Sapphire preferred)
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop accurate layouts
- Produce truss design drawings, layouts, and material take-offs
- Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, engineering standards, and project requirements
- Support the sales team with estimates, take-offs, and value engineering opportunities
- Communicate with builders, contractors, and internal teams to clarify design requirements
