Role Description We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Montreal, QC. This is a full-time, on-site position.
The ideal candidate will have an accounting background and will support the day-to-day management of customer accounts and sales-related activities. This role involves working with Shopify sales, B2B customer accounts, and other sales channels assigned by management.
Key responsibilities include preparing and issuing invoices, monitoring customer payments, reconciling accounts, assisting with collections, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records. The candidate will also support sales reporting and process improvements through strong Excel and data management skills.
This position requires someone with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments and communicate professionally with customers and external partners.
Key Responsibilities Process and manage Accounts Receivable transactions
Prepare and issue sales invoices for assigned customers
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate financial and customer records
Assist with sales reporting , Inventory reconciliation and account analysis
Work with Excel spreadsheets, formulas,



and data management tools
Support process improvements and administrative tasks as assigned
Collaborate with internal teams including sales, logistics, and accounting
Provide professional communication and customer support when required
Qualifications & Skills Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration background required
Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, accounting, or related roles
Experience with Shopify sales and B2B customer accounts is an asset
Strong Excel skills (formulas, data analysis, and basic automation)
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Positive understanding of accounting principles and AR processes
Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with accounting software (Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset)
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (completed or in progress)
Experience or interest in the cannabis industry is considered an asset
