About the role
Lead the software team while contributing hands-on to development. Own the software delivery lifecycle, from planning and execution through release management and production reliability. This is a fully remote role for candidates eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and coach software engineers.

Plan delivery, manage sprint execution, and oversee releases.

Work with Product and stakeholders to shape roadmaps and translate requirements into plans.

Guide architecture, code quality, and engineering practices.

Oversee production reliability, incident response, and operational improvements.

Contribute to backend and frontend code, including AWS architecture and integrations.

Qualifications





Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.

At least 3 years managing and coaching software engineers and 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience.

Experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, .NET or Node.js, React, and TypeScript.

Experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery, release management, and production operations.

Experience collaborating with Product stakeholders and working in a B2B SaaS setting.

Additional experience
Experience with fleet management, telematics, or ELD software; English-French bilingualism; and Government of Canada security clearance are listed as nice to have.

Compensation and benefits
Base salary: $110,000–$120,000 CAD per year, with health, dental, and vision benefits.
