# ImamBC Muslim Association (Victoria Masjid)full-timeVictoria, BC, CanadaSenior LevelSeniorShare:## Job DescriptionVictoria Masjid, part of the BC Muslim Association, seeks a full-time Imam to serve as the primary religious and spiritual leader for the community in Victoria, BC.\*\*Role Overview\*\*You will lead all five daily congregational prayers and Friday prayers (Jumu'ah), serving as the pastoral and spiritual authority for the masjid community.\*\*Key Responsibilities\*\** Lead all five daily prayers and Jumu'ah services* Develop and deliver youth and children's Islamic education programs* Organize and facilitate Islamic lectures, study circles (halaqas), and workshops for community members of all ages* Provide pastoral counselling and spiritual guidance to congregation members* Conduct da'wah (community outreach) and interfaith engagement activities* Perform marriage (nikah)



ceremonies* Guide both youth and the broader community in matters of Islamic faith and practice\*\*Qualifications Required\*\** Bachelor's degree or higher in Islamic Studies from an accredited Islamic institution* Minimum 5 years of experience as an Imam or Islamic teacher* Sunni Muslim* Fluent in English and Arabic* Strong command of the Quran, Sunnah (Prophetic tradition), and Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh)* Deep knowledge of Quranic sciences (Tajweed) and recitation rules* Hafiz of the Quran (preferred)* Computer literacy* Demonstrated ability to lead and guide a culturally diverse Muslim community in a Canadian context* Eligible to work in Canada\*\*Employment Details\*\** Full time position* 40 hours per week, flexible schedule* Location: Victoria Masjid, 2218 Quadra Street, Victoria, BC, Canada* Open until filled* Compensation commensurate with experience\*\*To Apply\*\*Contact Victoria Masjid at [email protected] or (phone hidden)
