11727BR Recreation Program Instructor - Eligibility List Job Posting Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) is inviting applications for casual positions of Recreation Program Instructor in the Recreation Programming division of Parks & Recreation.

The Program Instructor could lead a variety of programs (eg: soccer, basketball, roller skating, gymnastics, painting, drawing, yoga, fitness, etc.).

The instructor must plan and teach recreational programs to participants of all ages.

Responsible for greeting participants, leading activities, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants, organizing equipment and supplies, preparing for activities; QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working or volunteering with preschoolers/children/youth/seniors in a recreational setting (if applicable).

Applicants must have current certification in Basic Workplace First Aid.

Applicants must complete screening through a Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry if applicable.

Applicants must be willing to obtain HIGH FIVE training and WHMIS training if applicable.

Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants may be required to complete an employment security screening check.
