About The Role

Northwest Partners is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Analyst for a 6-month remote contract with a leading organization. This consultant will support day-to-day privacy operations by investigating privacy-related alerts, managing remediation tickets, and ensuring issues are resolved or escalated to the appropriate business units. The role will also involve conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), particularly for AI development initiatives, and applying knowledge of privacy regulations across different regions. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in data privacy, risk assessments, and privacy issue management. What You Will Do

Investigate privacy-related tickets generated by systems that detect potential data privacy issues.

Assess privacy risks and determine whether issues can be remediated directly or require escalation to the appropriate business unit.

Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), particularly for AI development and implementation.

Identify potential privacy risks associated with the collection, processing, storage, sharing, and use of personal data.

Apply knowledge of relevant privacy laws and regulations across different regions, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.

Track open, overdue, and escalated privacy tickets to ensure timely resolution.

Maintain accurate documentation of investigations, remediation activities, decisions, and outcomes.

Follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure outstanding actions are completed and feedback loops are closed.

Support privacy risk assessments for new technologies, business processes, and AI-related initiatives.

Work with legal, compliance, security, technology, and business teams to address privacy concerns.

Identify recurring privacy issues and opportunities to improve processes, controls, and remediation workflows.

Support the consistent application of privacy policies, procedures, and governance requirements.

What You Will Bring

3+ years of experience in data privacy, privacy operations, data protection, compliance, or a related discipline.

Working knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.

Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) or Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).

Experience investigating, documenting, managing, and resolving privacy-related issues or tickets.

Strong understanding of personal data handling, privacy risks, and data protection principles.

Experience tracking open and overdue tasks and ensuring issues are followed through to resolution.

Ability to assess privacy concerns and determine when remediation or escalation is required.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tickets and deadlines.

Transparent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings and communicate with stakeholders.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with teams across different business functions.

Experience supporting privacy assessments involving AI, machine learning, or emerging technologies is highly desirable.

Relevant privacy certifications, such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM, are advantageous but not essential. Disclaimer

All candidates will be asked to briefly show a government-issued ID on video during the first interview. This step protects the integrity of the hiring process given the rise in applicant impersonation and employment fraud. About Northwest Partners
