Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Mechanic with robust diesel engine experience to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy-duty, agricultural and construction equipment.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced setting where no two days are necessarily the same. You will work on a diverse range of equipment and systems, providing an excellent opportunity to use your existing skills while continuing to expand your knowledge and experience.

Duties

- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of heavy-duty and industrial equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and diesel-powered equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and electrical components.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, diagnostic equipment, and other resources to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Work on a variety of equipment and machinery, providing a diverse and challenging work environment rather than repetitive maintenance on the same equipment.
- Repair and replace mechanical components such as belts, hoses, bearings, pumps, motors, and other components.
- Perform basic welding and fabrication repairs as required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Proven hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines is required.
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or equivalent experience is preferred, experienced apprentice may be considered.




- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing heavy machinery, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Robust communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
