Whether you are a new grad or seasoned physiotherapist looking for a change, we would love to meet with you! We are looking for a physiotherapist (or PT resident) to join our team. Our interdisciplinary rehab team specializes in vestibular cases and orthopaedic/sport injuries.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in assessing and treating vestibular conditions while working closely with experienced mentors. Some cases that are successfully co-managed in our clinic are: visual motion hypersensitivity, post-concussion, BPPV, vestibular neuritis, occulomotor dysfunction resulting in visual sensitivity.
You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care, assessing and treating individuals with balance, dizziness, and vestibular disorders, utilizing baseline testing like MCTSIB and BCTT for performance measurement, and contributing to a collaborative clinical environment driven to manage upper neck and vestibular conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with balance, and dizziness issues to determine appropriate treatment plans and services needed based on which systems are involved (vestibular, visual or somatosensory)
- Develop and implement individualized vestibular therapy programs aimed at improving patient stability and reducing symptoms
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal recovery outcomes
- Educate patients and their families about vestibular conditions, treatment procedures, and strategies for managing symptoms at home
- Document patient progress accurately, maintain detailed records, and adjust therapy plans as needed based on ongoing evaluations
- Participate actively in mentorship sessions, training workshops, and continuing education opportunities to deepen expertise in vestibular rehabilitation
Skills
- Proven experience working within private clinic environments, demonstrating adaptability across diverse clinical situations
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse populations
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care
- Enthusiasm for professional growth in vestibular therapy complemented by a proactive approach to learning and mentorship engagement
