Position Summary

Natural Glacial Waters Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to oversee day-to-day production activities at our bottled water manufacturing facility in Fanny Bay, British Columbia.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for coordinating production staff, monitoring production performance, maintaining accurate operational reporting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership

- Manage daily production operations and staffing requirements.
- Schedule labour to support production targets.
- Supervise production team members and lead hands.
- Ensure production schedules are completed on time.
- Monitor line performance and production efficiency.
- Address operational issues and escalate significant concerns to the Plant Manager.

Reporting and Performance Monitoring

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Track production volumes, downtime, labour utilization, and efficiency metrics.
- Monitor production KPIs and identify trends.
- Assist management with operational analysis and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

Quality and Food Safety

- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures.
- Support Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation programs.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance personnel on corrective actions and process improvements.
- Ensure production records are completed accurately and on time.

Safety

- Promote a safe workplace and adherence to WorkSafeBC requirements.




- Participate in safety meetings and investigations.
- Ensure employees follow safe work procedures.
- Identify and report hazards and opportunities for improvement.

Team Development

- Provide training and coaching to production employees.
- Support employee development and cross-training.
- Assist in performance management activities.
- Foster teamwork and accountability throughout the production department.

Qualifications

Required

- Three or more years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing, food processing, beverage production, or related industries.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience preparing operational reports and analyzing production data.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred

- Food or beverage manufacturing experience.
- Experience in a regulated food production environment.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, or similar quality systems.
- Postsecondary training in manufacturing, operations, or a related field.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
