Seven Mechanical Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Process and record customer billing accurately.
- Process and record customer payments accurately.
- Perform account reconciliations to verify outstanding balances and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports to monitor overdue invoices and initiate collection efforts through effective negotiation and customer service skills.
- Prepare and send invoices, statements, and payment reminders in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure smooth coordination of financial transactions.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, data entry activities, and correspondence related to receivables.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures by analyzing accounts receivable data and generating reports for management review.
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within financial services or related industries.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues.
- Effective negotiation and phone etiquette skills for communicating with clients regarding overdue accounts.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and account reconciliation techniques.
- Basic math skills combined with a solid understanding of accounting principles to perform account analysis confidently.
