We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality chronic pain care.

Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical assessment, treatment planning, patient education, and ongoing management for patients enrolled in our chronic pain program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the attending physician, nursing team, and allied healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, evidence-informed care.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, presenting concerns, and functional status.
- Assess and manage patients experiencing chronic pain using evidence-informed clinical approaches.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans within the Nurse Practitioner’s scope of practice.
- Provide appropriate treatment recommendations, medication management, and follow-up care as clinically indicated.




- Collaborate with the attending physician and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care and treatment recommendations.
- Provide clinical guidance and direction to nursing staff regarding patient management and treatment plans.
- Review patient progress and adjust management strategies as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation.
- Educate patients regarding chronic pain management, treatment expectations, and self-management strategies.
- Support care coordination and referrals to allied healthcare services, including physiotherapy and other appropriate community resources.
- Comply with applicable professional standards, privacy legislation, and clinic policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Current registration in good standing as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Master’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent recognized Nurse Practitioner qualification.
- Appropriate prescribing authority and competencies for the role.
- Experience in chronic pain management, primary care, or a related clinical setting is preferred.
- Robust clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.




- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred, ethical, and evidence-informed care.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to clinical documentation.

Compensation and Contract Details

- Rate: $95 per hour.
- Employment arrangement: Independent contractor.
- Benefits: No employee benefits are provided under this contractor arrangement.
- Schedule: Flexible scheduling to be discussed with the successful candidate.
- Location: Solace Medical, Calgary, Alberta.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining their professional registration and meeting all applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
