We are currently seeking an Electrician to join the Lifeline team.

Term: Full Time Permanent

Location:

- Unit 35 - 50 Weybright Ct, Scarborough (Relocating to Concord in Fall 2023)
- Travel within the Greater Toronto Area

Hourly Wage: $35.00-45.00

Responsibilities:

- Performs skilled tasks in installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, trouble shoot, test, and repair of interior and exterior wiring systems, transformers, switching equipment, relays, motors, lights and other electrical and electronic systems and equipment for the continued success of the organization’s daily operations
- Analyze electrical drawings, specifications and instructions to troubleshoot, repair, replace and install components of normal and emergency power systems
- Prepares sketches and specifications, maintains accurate records, requisitions materials, and completes written reports by hand or computer
- Assist in new construction wiring and service work
- Inspects electrical systems in relation to fire alarm systems
- Receives daily work orders and organizes work in order to complete in an expeditious manner,



including determining the necessary materials and equipment.
- Complete work orders for assigned work
- Mentor and train other staff to ensure compliance to standards and specifications as required
- Utilizes a variety of tools and equipment and is responsible for their maintenance
- Attend all internal and external meetings as required
- Travel to various work locations as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Master Electrician License from the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) in Ontario is required
- Minimum of 1-3 years of electrician work experience is required
- Experience working in the fire protection services industry, the construction industry, and/or related industry is preferred
- Experience in high-rise and low-rise residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Experience with basic power tools, hand tools, and multi-meter usage
- Excellent interpersonal skills, results-oriented, analytical thinking
- Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service
- Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision
- Must have excellent work ethic with strong dependability
- Solid organizational skills, detail-oriented, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly
- Ability to adhere to,



implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and analyze
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work flexible hours including evening and/or weekends to meet customer requirements
- Ability to work in situations which may include (but is not limited to) climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, hydro vaults, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Perform physical labor to including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 40 lbs
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Proficiency in English is required
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle for work is an asset
