Job Summary
Objects By Lisa Alvis is a design-driven furniture studio specializing in custom upholstered headboards, beds, ottomans, benches, and seating. We focus on craftsmanship, elevated materials, and modern silhouettes. We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer with 2–5 years of experience who takes pride in precision, quality, and detail.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience upholstering full beds, headboards, ottomans, benches, and chairs. This role requires a combination of upholstery expertise, basic woodworking knowledge, and sewing skills. You will work closely with our design team to bring custom pieces to life from frame to final finish.

Responsibilities

- Upholster custom furniture pieces including full beds, headboards, ottomans, benches, and chairs
- Measure, cut, and apply fabric, foam, batting, and padding with precision
- Operate sewing machines to create slipcovers, cushion covers, and tailored upholstery components
- Ensure proper alignment,



pattern matching, and clean finishes
- Inspect completed pieces to meet quality control standards
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient workshop environment
- Assist with loading, wrapping, and preparing finished pieces for delivery when required

Experience

- 2–5 years of qualified upholstery sewing experience
- Demonstrated experience upholstering full beds and custom headboards
- Proficiency with industrial sewing machines
- Strong understanding of upholstery materials and techniques
- Ability to read drawings or follow design specifications
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift and maneuver furniture pieces
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
