Accounting Technician

Location: Saint John, New Brunswick

Salary: $45,000 – $55,000 annually

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Non-seasonal)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Accounting Associate to perform bookkeeping and accounting support functions, with a primary focus on accounts receivable and collections. The successful candidate will maintain financial records, reconcile accounts, and support reporting and closing procedures.

Main Duties:

- Maintain financial records and balance accounts using bookkeeping systems
- Post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment tracking
- Perform collections activities and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and sub-ledgers
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures




- Prepare financial reports as required

Requirements:

- College diploma in accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
