Service Technician – Plumbing & Mechanical Systems

JJM Mechanical Group Ltd. is actively seeking skilled and motivated Service Technicians to join our dynamic and growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical background, a solid understanding of building systems, and a passion for troubleshooting and solving complex mechanical challenges in service and retrofit environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, service, and recommend solutions for mechanical equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, tankless water heaters, pumps, and sump systems in residential, commercial, and institutional settings
- Perform service calls, preventative maintenance, and retrofit installations with accuracy and attention to detail
- Identify equipment issues and provide clear, effective repair recommendations
- Maintain thorough job documentation, including detailed service notes and accurate equipment information
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams regarding site conditions and service updates
- Utilize mobile app technology for work orders, time tracking, and job reporting
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one weekday every six weeks)

Qualifications:

- Red Seal Certified Plumber (required)
- Strong knowledge of current plumbing codes and industry standards
- Proven experience assessing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience with heating, hydronic, and plumbing equipment diagnostics
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record




- Personal hand tools required (company provides power tools)
- Cross Connection Control Certification is an asset
- Strong communication skills, professional attitude, and commitment to quality workmanship
