Job Description

Best Brains Learning Centers is seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and qualified native French-speaking teacher to teach children ages 4–14. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with young learners and have experience supporting French Immersion students.

Our French program develops reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through structured lessons and weekly workbooks. Curriculum, teaching materials, and answer keys are provided—no lesson planning is required.

Position Qualifications

- Native French speaker with excellent spoken and written French.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a university/college qualification in French.
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably teaching French to children.
- Strong knowledge of French teaching strategies, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary development.
- Experience supporting French Immersion students is an asset.

Consideration will also be given to candidates holding an interim or temporary OCT Certificate of Qualification and Registration, and students enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program who meet the French-language requirements.

Responsibilities

- Teach French in small groups.
- Develop students’ reading comprehension, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Model accurate pronunciation and encourage students to communicate confidently in French.
- Adapt instruction to students’ ages, abilities, and learning needs.




- Create a welcoming, engaging, and supportive classroom setting.
- Follow the provided curriculum and guide students through weekly workbooks.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents and center administrators.
- Complete required observation and training hours.
- Attend teacher team meetings.

Available Teaching Hours

- Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 4:30 PM–7:30 PM
- Saturdays: 9:30 AM–12:30 PM

Locations:

North : 1600 hydepark rd, London

South: 4026 meadowbrook dr, London

Teaching schedules will be arranged based on class availability.

Job Type

Part-time, temporary, contract.

Documentation Required Upon Hire

- An original Criminal Reference Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening, dated within six months.
