Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our supply chain team. The ideal candidate will oversee and optimize the movement of goods, manage warehouse distribution, and coordinate transportation activities to ensure efficient order fulfillment. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, and a solid understanding of supply chain processes. The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in streamlining operations, improving process efficiencies, and supporting procurement and sourcing initiatives to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials management.
- Manage transportation logistics using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Oversee freight arrangements, including 3PL providers and carrier negotiations, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Support procurement and sourcing efforts by analyzing pricing data and demand planning to optimize inventory levels.
- Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 for order processing, inventory tracking, and data analysis to improve operational workflows.
- Implement process improvements related to supply chain management, packaging, and order fulfillment to enhance productivity.
- Monitor shipping schedules, coordinate with suppliers and vendors, and ensure compliance with shipping & receiving protocols.




- Maintain accurate records of logistics activities using CMMS and other relevant software tools.
- Assist in developing strategies for demand forecasting, procurement planning, and sourcing to meet customer needs efficiently.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper materials handling, order accuracy, and efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, supply chain management, or logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar systems like E-commerce modules.
- Robust data analysis skills for demand planning, pricing strategies, and process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight logistics, 3PL coordination, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Experience with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and materials management.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment and inventory control.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including purchasing, procurement, and warehouse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field preferred; relevant work experience may substitute. Pay: From $38,139.84 per year
