Responsibilities & Duties

- Deliver engaging and effective instruction to small groups of 1–6 students in assigned subject area(s), following established curriculum and course pacing guides.
- Maintain accurate and timely daily records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic progress, escalating concerns where necessary.
- Monitor student understanding, identify areas requiring additional support, and adapt explanations and instructional approaches to meet student's personal learning needs.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback on student work, assignments, and assessments, and communicate significant academic or behavioural concerns to the appropriate program staff.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes students' well-being, participation, and learning.

Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check is required as a condition of employment; the cost of the check will be covered by the organization.
- Solid knowledge of assigned subject area(s), with the ability to explain concepts clearly, accurately, and at an appropriate level for each student.
- Previous educational experience, especially with SAT or AP materials, is an asset; candidates with strong subject knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- A patient, professional, and growth-oriented approach to instruction.

Work Hours

This is a part-time position with 8-20 tutoring hours per week for one semester at a time. Group classes are scheduled from 4pm to 8pm twice weekly on Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday, while Wednesdays and Saturdays are for 1:1 or specialty classes.

Location

In-person at our White Rock campus (2055 152 Street, Surrey, BC).

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
