Industrial Labourer

Who We Are

Quantum Industrial Solutions (QIS) rehabilitates critical infrastructure using specialized industrial techniques. Our field crews work on structures where quality, precision, and safety are non-negotiable, and where the work has to perform for decades.

We are hiring for a bridge repair and coating project in Quesnel, British Columbia. We are looking for hardworking, reliable labourers to support our blasting and coating crew. This is an entry point into the industrial coatings trade for people who want to learn and move up.

The Work

This is hands-on industrial field work on a civil infrastructure project. You will support a focused crew responsible for surface preparation and protective coating application on structural steel. The work is physical and rapid-paced, and it is carried out under strict quality and safety standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Supporting abrasive blasters and coating applicators with material handling, hose management, and equipment setup
- Loading, moving, and staging abrasive media, coatings, and supplies
- Helping install, maintain, and dismantle engineered containment and hoarding systems
- Collecting, bagging, and handling spent abrasive and waste materials according to containment and disposal protocols
- Following lead-safe work practices, decontamination procedures, and hygiene protocols where lead abatement is required
- Cleaning, fuelling, and maintaining field equipment, including compressors, blast pots, spray rigs, and air dryer skids
- Keeping work areas organized, clean,



and hazard-free
- Assisting with daily safety meetings, hazard assessments, and field documentation
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions on a rotational schedule

Ideal Candidates Will Have

- Experience as a general or industrial labourer; construction, industrial coatings, sandblasting, or bridge work is a definite asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and working at heights
- Comfort working in PPE, including respirators and protective suits, for extended periods
- Basic understanding of jobsite safety practices and hazard identification
- Willingness to work in demanding outdoor environments and on rotational schedules
