Health Care Aide (HCA) – Weekend Shifts (Fri–Sun)
Pay: CA$20.00–CA$23.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, with opportunities for additional hours
Location: Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County, Edmonton, St. Albert and surrounding communities

Serving Hands Senior Care is an independent, locally owned, nurse-led home care agency proudly serving seniors and families since 2016.
We are currently hiring registered Health Care Aides (HCAs) for regular Friday, Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Important: Applicants must already be registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA), hold an active HCA practice permit, and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Support mobility and safe transfers
- Provide medication reminders within HCA scope and individual care plans
- Assist with meal preparation and nutrition
- Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement
- Perform light household tasks related to client care and safety
- Observe and document changes in client condition or behaviour
- Communicate observations and concerns promptly to the office and nursing team
- Deliver compassionate, respectful, person-centred care
Requirements
- Current CLHA registration as a Health Care Aide
- Active HCA practice permit in good standing
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- Solid English communication skills
- Physically able to assist with mobility and transfers
- Reliable, organized and compassionate
Availability
We are particularly interested in applicants who can commit to regular Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday shifts.
Daytime and evening availability is welcome.
Additional weekday hours may be available depending on client needs, location and scheduling compatibility.
