Atlas Energy Systems Inc. is a rapidly growing HVAC, heat pump, refrigeration and electrical company serving customers throughout New Brunswick.

We are looking for a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician or early-stage Journeyperson to join our growing electrical division.

This is an opportunity for someone who already has a solid foundation in the electrical trade and wants to take on responsibility, expand their skills and grow with a company that is building something significant.

Electrical work will be the core of this position, but Atlas is a growing company and we value people who are willing to contribute beyond a narrowly defined job description.

The Role

You will perform residential and light commercial electrical work while working alongside our growing HVAC and refrigeration operations.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Residential electrical installations
- Service upgrades and electrical panels
- Heat pump and HVAC electrical installations
- Disconnects and equipment wiring
- New circuits and branch wiring
- Electrical troubleshooting and service
- Lighting and receptacle installations
- Electrical renovations and upgrades
- Equipment connections
- EV charger installations
- Generator and specialty electrical work
- Reading plans and electrical drawings
- Jobsite preparation and cleanup
- Maintaining tools, equipment and company vehicles
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Working safely and in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and company procedures

As your experience develops, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility, more complex work and leadership within the electrical division.

More Than Just Electrical

This is an important part of the position.

Atlas is a growing company, and we are looking for people who want to contribute to the company as a whole, not just perform the tasks associated with their trade.

From time to time, you may be asked to assist with other reasonable company needs, including:

- Picking up materials or equipment
- Delivering equipment or supplies to jobsites
- Assisting HVAC installation and service crews
- Helping with jobsite preparation or cleanup
- Moving or organizing equipment and materials
- Assisting with company vehicles, tools and equipment
- Participating in customer site visits
- Providing technical input to the sales team




- Helping identify electrical requirements during HVAC sales opportunities
- Assisting with the HVAC sales process where your electrical knowledge adds value
- Participating in training, meetings and company initiatives
- Taking on additional responsibilities as your skills and experience develop

You are not being hired as a salesperson.

However, we expect our team members to be comfortable interacting with customers and contributing to the sales process when their technical knowledge can help the customer or the company.

For example, an electrician who can walk into a home during an HVAC consultation, understand the electrical requirements, identify potential issues and communicate that information to the customer and sales team becomes significantly more valuable to Atlas.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

- A 3rd or 4th Year Construction Electrician Apprentice or Early Stage Journeyperson
- Registered and properly authorized to work in the trade in New Brunswick
- Experienced with residential electrical work
- Mechanically inclined and capable of troubleshooting
- Comfortable reading electrical plans and layouts
- Detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship
- Safety-conscious
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional with customers
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Capable of working independently when appropriately authorized
- Willing to learn
- Willing to take initiative
- Comfortable taking on responsibilities outside a narrowly defined electrical role
- Interested in building a long-term career with a growing company

New Brunswick treats Construction Electrician as a compulsory trade, and electrical construction and maintenance work must be performed by appropriately licensed electricians or supervised apprentices. Applicants must therefore have the appropriate New Brunswick apprenticeship/certification status for the work they will perform. Government of New Brunswick

ExperienceRequired

- 3rd or 4th Year Construction Electrician Apprentice or Journeyperson
- Appropriate New Brunswick apprenticeship/certification status
- Valid driver's licence
- Residential electrical experience
- Ability to travel throughout Fredericton and surrounding areas
- Strong communication and customer-service skills

Strong Assets

- HVAC or heat pump electrical experience
- Electrical service upgrades
- Panel changes
- Troubleshooting and service work
- New construction experience
- Light commercial experience
- EV charger installations
- Generator installations
- Experience reading electrical drawings
- Experience working independently
- Previous customer-facing experience
- Interest in learning HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Sales or estimating experience

Journeyperson certification is an asset, but we are absolutely interested in strong 3rd and 4th Year Apprentices who are approaching their ticket.
