We are looking for a motivated, relationship-oriented Job Developer to help connect individuals with developmental disabilities to employment opportunities while building partnerships with employers across the community.

This is a blended role that combines direct support for participants with proactive employer outreach and relationship development. You will work with participants to understand their strengths, interests, and employment goals while building connections with local businesses, identifying potential job opportunities, and promoting inclusive hiring practices.

If you enjoy networking, developing partnerships, and helping people succeed, this could be an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

What You'll Do

- Promote CFASA's employment services and help employers understand the benefits of inclusive hiring and employing individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing employer partners to expand employment opportunities within the community.
- Identify potential job openings and emerging opportunities, including positions that may not be publicly advertised.
- Match participant strengths, skills, interests, and employment goals with employer needs and available opportunities.
- Market participant skills and abilities to employers, demonstrating how individuals can contribute meaningfully to their workplaces.
- Network with community organizations, attend networking events, and represent CFASA as an ambassador for inclusive employment.
- Work collaboratively with employers to identify workplace needs, explore accommodations,

and support the development of inclusive and accessible work environments.
- Maintain regular communication with employer partners to support successful placements and encourage long-term employment relationships.

Participant Support and Employment Coaching

- Maintain a caseload of participants and provide individualized support aligned with their strengths, interests, and employment goals.
- Support participants with employment readiness, career exploration, job searching, resume development, and interview preparation.
- Facilitate job matching and employment interviews, helping participants identify and pursue opportunities suited to their abilities and aspirations.
- Provide employment coaching and guidance to help participants develop workplace skills, navigate expectations, and build confidence.
- Support successful transitions into employment and provide follow-up support to participants and employers after placement.
- Collaborate with participants, families and support networks, colleagues, and community partners as appropriate to promote employment success.
- Help employers understand participant support needs and identify strategies to foster positive working relationships and long-term job retention.

Program Collaboration and Administration

- Maintain accurate participant records, employer contact information, job opportunities, and employment-related documentation.
- Track participant progress, employer engagement, and employment outcomes to support program evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the employment team and leadership to identify opportunities to strengthen the program and expand its community reach.
- Participate in ongoing learning and contribute to the development of effective employment supports and inclusive hiring practices.
- Perform other related duties as required.

What We're Looking For

- A diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in employment services,

job development, recruitment, career coaching, business development, community engagement, or a related field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is an asset.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the confidence to initiate conversations and develop recent employer partnerships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to promote a program, communicate participant strengths, and engage employers in inclusive hiring.
- A participant-centred, strengths-based approach that respects individual choice, dignity, and employment goals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance employer outreach, participant support, and administrative responsibilities.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
