Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lead Hand for our companies in Brampton for their Window Line manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations on the window assembly line, ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will lead a team of skilled workers, coordinate tasks, and maintain high standards of quality. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment will be essential to drive productivity and uphold safety protocols.

Duties

- Coordinate and oversee daily activities on the window production and assembly line.
- Assign tasks to team members and ensure production targets and schedules are met.
- Lead, support, and motivate production employees to maintain productivity and quality.
- Assist with window fabrication, assembly, glazing, hardware installation, and other production tasks as required.
- Monitor product quality and ensure windows are manufactured according to specifications and company standards.
- Identify production issues, material shortages, and equipment concerns, and report them to the supervisor.
- Ensure materials, tools, and components are available to keep the production line running efficiently.
- Train new employees on production procedures, equipment use, quality standards, and workplace safety.
- Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure employees follow health and safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
- Complete production paperwork, quality checks, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors,



team members, and other departments to resolve production issues.
- Support the production supervisor with daily operations and other duties as assigned.

Experience

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.
- Previous experience in window manufacturing or a related industry is an asset.
- Previous lead hand, team lead, or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of production processes, workflow, and quality control.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, production instructions, measurements, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize tasks, prioritize work, and help meet production deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production records are an asset.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual, dependable, and willing to lead by example.
- Ability to work independently while supporting and coordinating a team.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials and window components in accordance with workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to perform repetitive assembly and production tasks.
- Ability to safely handle glass, window frames, tools, and production materials with appropriate training and protective equipment.

Job location: Brampton by Airport Rd & Queen St E

Shift timings: 7:15 am - 3:30 pm Monday to Friday

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
