Front of House Team Lead / Senior Server

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Front of House Team Lead / Senior Server to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong serving experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. This role combines hands-on serving with supporting and motivating the front-of-house team to ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional service, and increased sales.

The successful candidate will lead by example, assist fellow servers, promote food and beverage specials, and encourage upselling to enhance the guest experience and drive restaurant revenue.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure guests have a positive and memorable dining experience.
- Lead by example by demonstrating strong serving skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Support, guide, and assist servers during busy shifts to maintain efficient service and teamwork.
- Help train and mentor team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer service expectations.
- Encourage servers to promote daily specials, featured menu items, promotions, and other offers.
- Drive sales by coaching the team on suggestive selling, upselling, and recommending additional items to guests.
- Ensure servers are knowledgeable about the menu, promotions, and current offerings.
- Monitor front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service, proper table management, and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve service issues professionally and promptly.




- Communicate effectively with management, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team members.
- Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and high standards throughout the dining area.
- Support management in achieving service quality, team performance, and sales goals.

Qualifications and Skills

- Previous serving experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is required.
- Previous leadership or senior server experience is an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service and menu recommendations.
- Proven ability to upsell, promote specials, and contribute to increased sales.
- Ability to support, motivate, and lead a team by example.
- Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Versatile availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
