Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Road Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks throughout Ottawa and the surrounding East End areas. In this mobile role, you will perform on-site repairs at customer locations, managing each service call from diagnosis through completion to ensure vehicles are returned to safe operating condition.

This position may include future on-call responsibilities and requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to customer service calls as required.
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks at customer locations.
- Manage repairs from initial assessment through final completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped service truck.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality, reliable repairs.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and workplace standards.
- Complete required online and instructor-led training.
- Prioritize service calls and manage customer needs independently.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Licence (required).
- Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks in a dealership environment (required).
- Valid Ontario G-class driver's licence preferred; DZ licence considered an asset.
- Robust diagnostic,



troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.
- Ability to interpret service manuals and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computer-based repair systems
- ODP certification.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize service requirements.
- Must provide personal tools to equip the company service truck; some shop tools are provided.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and future on-call shifts as required.
- Bilingual English/French communication skills are an asset.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Experience and Licensing

- Mechanical experience: 1 year preferred.
- Ontario 310T Heavy Truck Mechanic Licence: required.

Pay: $34.62-$47.82 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks in a dealership : 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Licence (required)
