Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk for a well-established and highly respected downtown Edmonton professional services firm.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of a close-knit team and play a key role in supporting the law firm's accounting operations, with a strong focus on legal trust accounting, banking activities, and day-to-day financial administration.

Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
Processing trust transactions, trust transfers, and trust cheques
Trust accounting compliance and financial reporting requirements
Monitoring bank accounts, deposits, and financial transactions
Posting disbursements and credit card receipts
Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting file administration
Supporting the accounting team with a variety of administrative and financial duties

5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, financial administration, banking, or a related role
Experience working with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, deposits, and general accounting functions
Exposure to trust accounting, legal accounting, or regulated accounting environments is considered a strong asset
Knowledge of Alberta trust accounting procedures or Law Society requirements is a strong asset
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field




Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn
