Key Responsibilities

- Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician orders.
- Operate MRI scanners and associated equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Conduct comprehensive MRI safety screening of patients and other individuals entering controlled MRI areas.
- Position patients appropriately and select imaging sequences based on examination requirements.
- Monitor patients throughout examinations, ensuring comfort, safety, and appropriate communication.
- Administer contrast agents where authorized and appropriately trained, following facility protocols.
- Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments to optimize diagnostic results.
- Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians,



and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
- Follow established MRI safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications

- Completion of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology, Radiologic Technology, or MRI program, or recognized equivalent.
- Current or eligible MRI certification/registration through CAMRT, ARRT (MR), or the applicable regulatory body.
- Previous clinical MRI experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, imaging protocols, and MRI safety procedures.
- Familiarity with MRI equipment and PACS systems.
- Excellent patient care, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Current BLS certification where required.
