Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cooks Assistant to join our dynamic food service team. Responsibilities

- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients to support chefs and cooks
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and ensuring proper portioning for meal service
- Maintain high standards of food handling, safety, and hygiene throughout all kitchen operations
- Help with food service duties including serving dishes, clearing tables, and managing utensils
- Follow established procedures for cleaning kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas to ensure a sanitary environment




- Assist in organizing supplies and restocking ingredients to keep the kitchen well-equipped for daily operations
- Support the team during busy meal times by efficiently managing multiple tasks with a positive attitude
- Some supervision of children may be required.

Skills

- Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations to ensure compliance
- Ability to assist with meal preparation and cooking under supervision while maintaining quality standards
- Strong understanding of serving techniques and customer service principles in a food industry setting
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team and support kitchen staff
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills related to food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices

Pay: $23.50-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
