Corteva Agriscience™, Crop Protection Discovery and Development Summer Research Assistant – 4 Month, May-August (Saskatoon, SK)

This role will assist with the research, development and evaluations of Corteva Agriscience™ crop protection products. As a research intern, you will have the opportunity to learn about the features, benefits and characteristics of Corteva Agriscience™ products, and gain experience in safe and proper product application.

Responsibilities:

-Agronomic research plot management

-Operate research farm machinery

-Field trial setup

-Seeding

-Spraying

-Facilitating field tour activities

-Harvest

Research Assessments

-Application of seed treatments, fertilizers and crop protection products on experimental plots

- Data collection - weed, insect, disease and crop response observations

-Assess, record, analyze experimental test results

-Work with new technology in agronomy and precision phenotyping

Qualifications

-Minimum of one-year university training preferably in agriculture, science or business

-Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player

-Demonstrate problem solving skills

-Commitment to safety

-Ability to work extended hours during peak season

-Agricultural background beneficial but not required

-Valid CLASS 5 driver’s license
