ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

- River Chiropractic is seeking a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) interested in building and operating their practice within a modern chiropractic clinic in Ottawa.
- This opportunity is designed for an RMT who wants the independence of managing their own professional practice without taking on the usual fixed costs and administrative workload of operating a clinic independently.
- There is no fixed monthly room rental fee and no requirement to purchase the standard equipment or administrative systems needed to practice.
- Instead, the RMT and River Chiropractic will work under a mutually agreed revenue-sharing arrangement based on payments actually collected from patients and insurers.
- The specific revenue-sharing structure will be discussed with selected candidates before entering into an agreement.

WHAT RIVER CHIROPRACTIC PROVIDES

We want the practitioner to be able to focus primarily on patient care and growing their practice, while the clinic supports the operational side.

River Chiropractic will provide:

- A private, professional treatment room with the standard equipment required to practice
- Treatment table, linens, towels, computer, Wi-Fi and clinic systems
- Practice-management software, online booking and scheduling infrastructure
- Reception, payment processing and administrative support
- Administrative assistance with insurance billing, receipts and payment reconciliation
- Clinic operations, cleaning, utilities and general facility management

There is no fixed room rental fee and no required upfront investment in the clinic's standard equipment or systems.

If the RMT would like additional specialized equipment, technology or supplies beyond the clinic's standard setup, we are open to discussing those needs together.

COMPENSATION & PRACTICE MODEL

This is not a salaried or hourly position.

Compensation is based on an agreed share of revenue actually collected from the RMT's patients, rather than simply the amount invoiced.

The arrangement includes:

- No fixed monthly rent
- No standard room-rental payment
- No upfront cost for the standard treatment-room setup
- A revenue-sharing structure mutually agreed upon before the collaboration begins




- Administrative support with patient payments and insurance billing

The RMT will retain professional independence over their practice, including their clinical decision-making and skilled fee structure, subject to applicable professional and regulatory requirements.

SCHEDULE & FLEXIBILITY

- We are open to both part-time and full-time practitioners.
- The RMT may choose to build a full-time practice at River Chiropractic or maintain a smaller schedule based on their availability and patient bookings.
- Scheduling will be coordinated according to clinic operating hours, practitioner availability and treatment-room availability.
- We are looking for the right long-term professional relationship rather than imposing a rigid schedule.

PATIENT BASE & PRACTICE GROWTH

Applicants should understand that an established Massage Therapy patient roster is not included with this opportunity.

The RMT will be responsible for developing their Massage Therapy practice and patient base over time.

River Chiropractic will support this through:

- Clinic administration and patient communication
- Professional clinic and online presence
- Reasonable marketing collaboration
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration within the clinic
- Referrals from the clinic's chiropractor when Massage Therapy is clinically appropriate for the patient

Internal referrals are based on patient needs and clinical appropriateness and should not be considered a guaranteed source of patient volume.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The RMT will be responsible for:

- Assessing and treating Massage Therapy patients within their qualified scope of practice
- Developing individualized and clinically appropriate treatment plans
- Obtaining informed consent and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Maintaining appropriate communication and follow-up with patients
- Meeting all CMTO, privacy,



recordkeeping and professional requirements
- Collaborating professionally with the clinic's chiropractor and other healthcare providers when appropriate

River Chiropractic will handle much of the operational and administrative workload, while the RMT remains responsible for the professional and regulatory aspects of their Massage Therapy practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must:

- Be registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
- Maintain appropriate professional liability insurance
- Be legally entitled to practice Massage Therapy in Ontario
- Demonstrate professional communication and patient-care skills
- Be comfortable practicing independently while working collaboratively within a healthcare clinic
- Maintain professional standards relating to documentation, privacy and billing

Both newly registered and experienced RMTs are encouraged to apply.
