**Job Title: 310T Mechanic** **Job Description**
This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and fabricating truck components in a warehouse-based automotive environment.

You will apply your mechanical expertise, welding skills, and use of hand and power tools to keep vehicles operating safely and efficiently, while supporting the transition toward electric trucks through ongoing training.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform fabrication, repair, and assembly work on truck components, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
+ Conduct troubleshooting on mechanical issues for diesel and other truck systems to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
+ Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on truck fleets to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
+ Use MIG and stick welding techniques on carbon and stainless steel components to repair and fabricate parts as required.
+ Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete mechanical and fabrication tasks.
+ Inspect vehicles and components to detect wear, damage, or potential failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
+ Document work performed, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, in accordance with company procedures.
+ Follow all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area within the warehouse environment.
+ Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize work orders and meet operational timelines.
+ Participate in training related to electric vehicles and new technologies as the fleet transitions to electrical trucks.

**Essential Skills**

+ Minimum 2+ years of experience in fabrication, repair, and assembly on truck components.
+ 35 years of experience in MIG and stick welding on carbon and stainless steel.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues on trucks and diesel systems.
+ Hands-on experience using a variety of hand and power tools in a maintenance or mechanical setting.
+ Possession of a valid 310T or 310J license, or eligibility as a 310T or 310J apprentice.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical safety practices and adherence to safety protocols.
+ Ability to work 10-hour afternoon shifts on a consistent schedule.
+ Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience as an apprentice or unlicensed mechanic working toward 310T or 310J certification.
+ Relevant industry experience working on trucks or in an automotive maintenance environment.
+ Willingness to learn and train on electric vehicle systems as the fleet modernizes.
+ Comfort working in a warehouse environment with industrial equipment and vehicles.
+ Attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping for maintenance and repairs.
+ Reliability in attending scheduled shifts and meeting work commitments.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a warehouse environment focused on automotive and truck maintenance, where you will work around industrial equipment and vehicle fleets.

The schedule consists of afternoon shifts of four 10-hour days per week, with available rotations such as Sunday to Wednesday from 3:45 PM to 1:45 AM or Tuesday to Saturday from 3:45 PM to 1:45 AM.

Work involves hands-on mechanical tasks, welding, and the use of various hand and power tools in an industrial setting, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to facility procedures.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
