About COSReady

COSReady is an early-stage technology company building an AI-powered platform for beauty, wellness, pet grooming, and other local service-based businesses.

Our platform includes both a consumer-facing Beauty Map mobile app and a B2B SaaS web platform for merchants. Our web platform is already live, and we are actively onboarding real merchants while preparing for broader mobile app launch.

We are looking for one strong Full Stack Developer who can work across backend, web frontend, mobile app support, UI implementation, third-party integrations, debugging, and product iteration.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys broad technical ownership in an early-stage product environment. You should be comfortable working on a live product where requirements may evolve based on real merchant and user feedback.

This is not a narrow frontend-only or backend-only role. We are looking for someone who can help carry the product technically across the full stack.

Role Overview

You will work across three core areas of COSReady:

- Backend / APIs
- Business logic, database models, REST APIs, permissions, payments, notifications, AI-related features, and production debugging.
- B2B SaaS Web Platform

Merchant dashboard, booking workflows, forms, settings, staff/service/location management, analytics, marketing tools, and other business-facing features.

- Beauty Map Mobile App

Consumer-facing app workflows, booking flows, profile and map-related experiences, push notifications, authentication flow, and mobile/API issue support.The ideal candidate can understand the existing system, break down product requirements, design maintainable solutions, implement features, debug issues, and help improve product quality without waiting for perfectly detailed specifications.

This role has potential to grow into a broader internal technical ownership role as the company and product mature.

Current Technical Environment

Our internal stack includes:

- Backend: Python, Django, Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, Redis, background jobs, real-time messaging, Stripe, SMS/messaging providers, AI API integrations, cloud storage, monitoring, and automated testing.
- Web: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, forms, dashboards, data fetching, validation, charts, multilingual UI, and merchant-facing workflows.
- Mobile: Expo React Native, TypeScript, maps, push notifications, native sign-in, secure token storage, app release workflows, and mobile API integration.
- Infrastructure: Cloud deployment, Linux services, nginx, monitoring, CI/CD, and production debugging.

You do not need to be an expert in every tool on day one, but you must be able to learn quickly and work across the full product stack.

Responsibilities

- Build and improve backend APIs, database models, business logic, permissions, notifications, payment-related flows, and AI-related product features.
- Work on B2B SaaS web features including merchant dashboard pages, booking workflows, settings, forms, tables, analytics,



and admin tools.
- Support the Beauty Map mobile app by helping with app flows, API behavior, authentication, maps, push notifications, and mobile-related bugs.
- Design and maintain stable product features that work consistently across backend, web, and mobile.
- Translate business requirements into data models, APIs, UI flows, edge cases, and implementation tasks.
- Integrate and maintain third-party services such as payments, SMS/messaging, AI APIs, cloud services, and business tools.
- Debug production issues using logs, API testing tools, database checks, monitoring tools, and user reports.
- Improve system stability, performance, and reliability as real merchants and users use the platform.
- Write maintainable code and meaningful tests.
- Participate in code reviews, deployment, release preparation, and ongoing product iteration.
- Respond to merchant and user feedback by fixing bugs, improving workflows, and refining product behavior.
- Take ownership of features from clarification to implementation, testing, release, and post-release support.

Requirements

- 5+ years of full-time full stack or backend-focused software development experience.
- Real production experience building and maintaining live software products.
- Strong backend development experience, preferably with Python and Django or similar backend frameworks.
- Experience with relational databases, business data modeling, migrations, query design, and data consistency.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication, authorization, permissions, validation, and error handling.
- Experience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
- Comfortable implementing practical UI, forms, loading states, error states, empty states, and user-facing workflows.
- Able to work with mobile app APIs and understand how backend and web changes affect the mobile app.
- Experience with third-party integrations such as payments, messaging, AI APIs, cloud services, or other business platforms.
- Able to debug independently using logs, API testing tools, database checks, and production issue investigation.
- Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment where priorities may change based on real users.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work without complete documentation.
- Clear communication about progress, blockers, risks, and technical decisions.
- Must be based in Ontario, Canada and able to work during Ontario business hours.

Nice to Have

- Experience with SaaS, booking systems, CRM, merchant dashboards, marketplaces, or multi-role platforms.




- Experience with payment systems, webhooks, refunds, subscriptions, transaction logic, or financial integrations.
- Experience with SMS, WhatsApp, voice, push notifications, or customer messaging workflows.
- Experience with AI features, OpenAI API, AI agents, RAG, workflow automation, chatbot systems, or AI-assisted business tools.
- Experience with maps, location-based search, geospatial features, or local service platforms.
- Experience with React Native, Expo, mobile app release workflows, push notifications, Apple/Google sign-in, or App Store / Google Play processes.
- Experience with cloud deployment, Linux, monitoring, CI/CD, Docker, nginx, or production infrastructure.
- Experience with technical ownership, independent projects, startup products, or 0-to-1 product development.
- Ability to make practical UI/UX decisions when a detailed design file is not available.

Work Environment

- Remote within Ontario.
- Toronto / GTA candidates are preferred, as occasional in-person meetings may be needed as the team grows.
- You will work directly with the founder and core team.
- You will work on a live product with real merchants, real users, and real production issues.
- This role requires practical problem-solving, ownership, flexibility, and clear communication.
