About Us
Lumia Group Contracting is a North Vancouver-based residential construction company specializing in custom homes and renovations. We’re a small, growing team committed to quality craftsmanship and exceptional client experiences. As our business expands, we’re seeking a skilled, client-focused Aftercare and Service Lead Technician to help build our service offering and support clients beyond project completion.
About the Role
This hands-on role takes ownership of post-project punch lists, warranty items and short residential service jobs. You’ll complete suitable work yourself, coordinate trusted trades when needed and follow each item through to completion. Working in occupied condos, townhouses and single-family homes, often with high-end finishes, you’ll bring careful workmanship, clear communication and respect for clients and their homes.
Service jobs typically range from half a day to two days. You’ll assess the work, prepare estimates and process payments using a company-provided iPad and point-of-sale system. When aftercare and service demand allows, you’ll also support the crew on active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Aftercare and Trade Coordination
- Take over small punch lists after project completion, assess outstanding items and plan their completion with clients and project managers.
- Complete repairs within your skill set and coordinate qualified trades for plumbing, electrical and other work beyond your scope.
- Follow through on assigned items, document completed work and keep clients and the project team informed.
Service Work and Client Relations
- Assess,
estimate and complete short service jobs; confirm scope and pricing with clients and refer larger work to the broader team for estimating.
- Perform finish carpentry, doors, trim, casing, wall mouldings, framing, basic flooring repairs, drywall repairs, painting, caulking, hardware, curtain rods and bathroom accessory installations.
- Provide a professional, responsive client experience, communicate clearly about timing and next steps, and process payments using the company’s point-of-sale system.
Site Support and Workmanship
- Join the crew on active job sites when aftercare and service demand allows.
- Maintain Lumia’s safety and quality standards, protect surrounding finishes and leave work areas clean.

Skills
- Strong practical repair skills, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, including setting clear expectations and handling client concerns professionally.
- Valuable organization and scheduling skills to manage visits and follow outstanding items through to completion.
