Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Trainer to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for running a class once a week, teaching dogs essential obedience skills and enhancing their behavior through positive reinforcement techniques. A commission of 50% per course will be paid out at the completion of a 4-6 class course. You will work closely with both dogs and their owners to foster a strong bond and ensure effective communication. Responsibilities

- Develop and implement training programs tailored to individual dog needs and owner goals.
- Conduct group classes and one-on-one training sessions, focusing on obedience, socialization, and behavior modification.
- Provide guidance to dog owners on training techniques, care, and maintenance of their pets.
- Monitor progress of each dog throughout the training process and adjust methods as necessary.




- Maintain a protected and positive training environment for both dogs and clients.
- Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments, which may involve heavy lifting when necessary.
- Foster strong customer service relationships with pet owners to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing training.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in dog training or a related field is preferred.
- Robust understanding of canine behavior and effective training techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with dog owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals are essential traits for success in this role.
- Certification from a recognized dog training program is a plus but not mandatory.
