Job Title: Ice Cream Maker/Pastry Chef

Wage range: From $20/hour - $25/hour (dependent on experience) + tips.

*minimum one year commitment; added employment benefits after 3 month probation

*minimum one weekend shift required

*Full time position

40 hours/week

5 shifts weekly; to be determined, of which one day is a Saturday or Sunday (preferred Sat & Sunday)

Flexible shift start times, upon completion of training

Required Skillsets:

Duties:
- Prepare and create a variety of ice cream flavors and pastry items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate ice cream making equipment, including mixers, churners, and freezers
- Monitor and adjust temperatures and ingredients to ensure proper consistency and quality of ice cream
- Follow health and safety guidelines in handling and storing ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas





- Oversee ice cream makers and other pastry cooks in the back of house
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is preferred
- Must be eligible to work in BC and have at least 1-year work visa
- Knowledge of ice cream making techniques and equipment is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and customers
