Community Health Worker – LIVE -IN and Hourly Work

About the Role:

Living Well Home Care is seeking compassionate, reliable, and skilled Community Health Workers to support seniors in their homes. As a Community Health Worker (CHW), you’ll be part of a nurse-led, certified, and unionized home care agency that puts both clients and caregivers first.

This role offers a variety of shift options to fit your schedule — whether you're looking for consistent live-in care, overnight shifts, longer hour stretches, or daytime flexibility. Our clients are primarily seniors living in their own homes across North and West Vancouver, and we’re looking for compassionate, qualified care aides who are committed to supporting safety, dignity, and independence.

URGENT : We are Urgently hiring staff that can do LIVE-IN work. Live-ins are at the clients home with a bedroom provided for you. They are 24 hours and you have a 3 hour break during that time. You are paid at a Flat Rate per day of $224.05 plus 4% vacation pay.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support in a respectful and dignified manner.

· Support daily household tasks, such as light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation, while promoting a safe and comfortable home environment.

· Provide medication assistance as directed in the care plan (e.g., reminders, organizing blister packs).

· Provide meaningful companionship and emotional support, while encouraging participation in social,



recreational, or therapeutic activities that promote connection, confidence, and independence.

· Monitor and observe clients for any changes in physical, mental, or emotional health and report concerns promptly to the nursing team.

· Document care provided and report observations or concerns clearly and promptly to the nursing team, following agency protocols and care plans.

Requirements:

· Must have a BC Care Aide Registry Number

· Must live in the Metro Vancouver area

· Experience working with seniors or in community health an asset

· Professional, reliable, and caring approach to client support

· Reliable Vehicle & Valid Driver’s License is an asset but not required
