Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Build trusting relationships with children and youth, providing emotional support and encouragement.
- Implement individualized care plans that promote social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Supervise daily activities, ensuring a safe and structured environment for all participants.
- Facilitate engaging educational activities, including teaching life skills, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing tailored assistance to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, therapists,



and other professionals to support each child's progress.
- Document observations, incidents, and progress notes accurately to ensure clear communication within the care team.

Skills

- Experience working with children in educational or care settings that require patience, understanding, and active engagement.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating adaptability and sensitivity to diverse needs.
- Strong teaching abilities to effectively communicate instructions and foster learning in various contexts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, youth, families, and team members.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing challenging behaviors positively.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in youth care.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes safety for all participants.
