ECE On-Call / Part-Time TeacherJob Summary

Wild Coast Daycare is currently looking for a reliable, caring, and flexible Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team as an on-call / part-time teacher.

We currently have three daycare locations: Esquimalt, Shelbourne, and Sidney.

If you prefer to work part time at only one location, that is absolutely fine. However, applicants who are available to work at all three locations will have more opportunities for shifts and hours.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with young children, is flexible with their availability, and is looking for part-time or on-call work in a supportive childcare environment.

Responsibilities

- Support daily classroom routines and activities
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and positive manner
- Assist with meals, snacks, outdoor play, nap time, and transitions
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with children, families, and team members
- Follow centre policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures
- Provide support in different classrooms depending on staffing needs

Qualifications





- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate
- Current First Aid certification
- Criminal Record Check
- Experience working in a licensed childcare setting is preferred
- Reliable, responsible, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible availability is an asset
- Availability to work at more than one Wild Coast Daycare location is preferred, but not required

Wild Coast Daycare currently operates three locations:

- Esquimalt
- Shelbourne
- Sidney
