CMM Programmer / Operator – Quality Control

Compensation:$30–$35/hour, based on experience

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Operator/ Quality Control to join a CNC machining environment in the Peterborough area. This position is ideal for a Quality Control professional with strong hands-on experience programming and operating Mitutoyo CMM equipment.

This is a straight day job which consists of 4-10 hour shifts. Monday- Thursday or Tuesday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Program and operate a Mitutoyo CMM (CMMC-J CSA-D) on a daily basis to verify that machined components meet required tolerances and specifications.
- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
- Work closely with CNC mills and CNC lathes to identify and resolve dimensional and quality issues.
- Record and document inspection results and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate production and engineering personnel.
- Assist with maintaining consistent quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
- Work in a team environment
- Calibrate Metrology Equipment.





Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience programming and operating Mitutoyo CMM machines is required.
- Previous experience in a CNC machining/manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of dimensional inspection, tolerances, and GD&T.;
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and engineering teams.

This is a specialized position. Candidates must have practical CMM programming and operating experience, preferably with Mitutoyo equipment.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
