About the Opportunity

Meadow Valley Meats is looking for a dependable, safety-conscious, and versatile 5-Ton Delivery Driver (with air brakes) / Warehouse Associate to join our team in Chilliwack, BC.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and is comfortable working both behind the wheel and in a busy warehouse environment.

Unlike a traditional full-time driving position, this role combines 5-ton truck deliveries with warehouse shipping and receiving responsibilities. On days when deliveries are required, you will be on the road. On other days, you will support our warehouse team with preparing, organizing, and shipping customer orders.We are looking for someone who is adaptable, enjoys working as part of a team, and is willing to step in wherever support is needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Driving

- Safely operate a 5-ton delivery truck to transport products to customers and other company locations.
- Provide driving coverage during employee vacations, sick days, and periods of increased delivery volume.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload products.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.
- Follow company transportation, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.
- Represent Meadow Valley Meats professionally when interacting with customers.

Warehouse & Shipping

- Assist the warehouse team with daily shipping and receiving operations.
- Pick, pack, organize, and prepare customer orders for delivery.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.




- Verify order accuracy and assist with shipping documentation.
- Support inventory organization, stock rotation, and warehouse cleanliness.
- Follow food safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of refrigerated products.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required to support daily operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Valid driver's license appropriate for operating a 5-ton truck, with air brake endorsement.
- Clean driving record and ability to provide a current driver's abstract.
- Previous commercial truck driving experience preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience considered an asset.
- Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting, moving, and handling products.
- Ability to work in refrigerated warehouse environments.
- Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to switch between driving and warehouse duties based on operational requirements.
- Forklift certification or experience is an asset but not required.

Work Schedule:

This position offers a versatile schedule based on operational needs.

- A combination of scheduled delivery driving and warehouse shifts.
- Driving assignments will vary depending on delivery volume, employee absences,



and vacation coverage.
- Warehouse responsibilities will make up the balance of the position.
- Flexibility with start times and daily assignments is important.
- Specific hours and scheduling expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Please note: This is a combined driving and warehouse position, not an exclusively driving role. Candidates must be comfortable performing both types of work.
