Our client, in the business consulting and services industry is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join their team on a 3-month contract assignment.

This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week onsite and 2 day remotely at the client’s offices in Downtown Toronto

- Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including invoice processing and posting, cash application, and account follow-ups.
- Perform account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Generate and run financial and accounting reports using SAP Business One.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and supporting records.
- Provide audit support by preparing schedules, retrieving documentation, and responding to information requests.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Qualification

- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, with a strong background in AP/AR, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Business One,



including the ability to generate and analyze reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting or financial reporting tools.
- Robust attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to learn processes quickly and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
