We are seeking a dedicated Hot Shot Driver to join our team! In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for delivering urgent freight with precision and professionalism. Your energetic approach will ensure timely deliveries, exceptional customer service, and secure transportation of goods.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport time-sensitive freight across various locations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with yard activities, including maintenance, moving goods within storage areas and supporting inventory management.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for all shipments.
- Assist with material and equipment prep for jobsites
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially in fast-paced delivery environments.
- Strong moving skills, including heavy lifting and manual handling of cargo.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely within yard/jobsite settings.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
- Prior construction experience is preferred to understand logistics workflows thoroughly.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.
